About The Challenge

Where Rigorous Analysis Meets Practical AI Innovation

BUILD2RISE 2026 is an online, idea-based case challenge organized by Krixov Campus. It invites college and university students to analyze real-world operational challenges and propose innovative, practical, data-informed, and responsible AI-enabled solutions.

1. Select & Analyze Root Causes

Participants select exactly one problem statement, analyze systemic friction points, define the affected operational users, and explore evidence before jumping to conclusions.

2. Design Responsible AI Systems

Formulate intuitive concepts—like decision support dashboards, source-grounded agents, or risk scoring engines—incorporating strict ethical and reliability guardrails.

3. Present a 10–15 Slide Blueprint

Deliver a comprehensive PDF or PowerPoint deck. No functioning prototype or coding is required. Evaluation is centered on problem-solving, analytical depth, and feasibility.

Open to Every Academic Discipline
Whether your strengths are in Technology, Computer Science, Business, Analytics, UI/UX Design, Operations Management, or Research, BUILD2RISE provides an equal playing field to present ideas with real-world potential.

Core Challenges

6 Real-World Problem Statements

Participants must select exactly one of the following six problem statements for their final 72-hour submission.

Problem Statement 1 of 6Workflow Management

The Broken Handoff Problem

Cross-Functional Coordination & Workflow Continuity

The Operational Problem

Work is often delayed when tasks move between departments or team members without complete information, clear ownership, or a defined next action.

The Challenge Objective

Design a solution that identifies incomplete handoffs, detects missing information, prioritizes tasks at risk of delay, and recommends actions to improve coordination.

Expected Solution Concepts

A workflow-management concept, intelligent checklist, handoff-risk dashboard, or another practical solution.

Can take the form of workflows, dashboard wireframes, logic flows, or operational prototypes.
Key Success Measures
  • Reduced incomplete handoffs across functional boundaries
  • Less rework caused by missing prerequisite data
  • Clearer single-threaded task ownership
  • Shorter inter-departmental resolution and handover times
Critical Evaluation Requirement:The system must ensure transparency on dependency blockers without creating bureaucratic friction.
Selected Statement: PS 1 — The Broken Handoff Problem
